Our
Philosophy.

Singularity and distinctive characteristics of the terroirs of Italy but also the dreams and aspirations of the winemakers.

Wine is passion, effort, patience, unpredictability but above all PLEASURE. Wine is a way of life, “l’arte di vivere” that Italians have been practising since the days of the Roman Empire.

Italy boasts an extensive and varied heritage in viticulture, fruit of its unique landscape and experience perfected throughout centuries. Nowadays, this heritage is preserved and continued by the winemakers thoroughly selected by ViniViniVici, who are dedicated to producing wines of the highest quality in the respect of the ancestral tradition, nature and biodiversity.

Our love for wine and fascination for these life stories built around it pushes us to share our most precious discoveries and represent them on ViniViniVici. The stories are unique and so is the wine we bring to you.

We are proud and excited to bring you the history of each Region and help you embark on a journey towards the most subtle, elegant, exquisite flavours and notes reflecting the singularity and distinctive characteristics of the terroirs of Italy but also the dreams and aspirations of the winemakers.

We sincerely hope you enjoy it.

Heroic

Heroic Wines are wines produced in geographically inaccessible areas, sometimes unknown with grapes grown on small plots removed from the mountains or obtained on steep slopes facing the sea. The grapes are harvested by hand with effort thanks to the tenacity winegrowers. These wines are original and reflect the stubbornness of those who do not want to be standardized; the strong identity that characterizes these small productions deserves attention and respect.

Vulcanic

The wines made from grapes grown on volcanic soils are unique, thanks to the particular geological composition of the soil, the exposure and the geographical location. The soils of the volcanic areas have received over the years a rain of lapilli, composed mainly of silica, iron and magnesium compounds, which accentuate the minerality of the wines making them incomparable.

Bio

European regulation 203/2012 establishes the rules, concerning the production of organic wine products, also describing the winemaking methods.
The legislation also authorizes the affixing of the European logo on the label, for companies certified by an authorized body. The content of the regulations provides for a series of restrictions in the use of certain oenological practices and adjuvant substances during the winemaking phase.
An organic grower can use about half the number of adjuvants a conventional grower can use under the regulations.
A wine is “organic” only when:

  • in the vineyard: organic grapes are produced and grown without using synthetic chemicals (fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, pesticides in general) and without the use of genetically modified organisms;
  • in the cellar: vinification is carried out only with oenological products and processes authorized by the regulations.

Certainly, within the limits and provisions imposed by the regulations, each certified organic producer will follow his own specific conduct, using the oenological practices closest to the personal conception of “sustainable agriculture”.

Piwi

PIWI wines are wines produced from grape varieties resistant to cryptogamic diseases.
Today, science and research are increasingly talking about “new innovative grape varieties” in this context. These grape varieties are very resistant to cryptogamic diseases and allow a significant reduction in the use of plant protection products. These robust or innovative grape varieties are therefore an obvious alternative to intensive conventional crop protection.
Fungus resistant vines are originally made through crosses between Vitis vinifera and other species of the genus Vitis. Thanks to a targeted selection, new innovative grape varieties are created to make viticulture more sustainable and meet the challenges of the future.
